Recyclebank to give away new kitchen for green living
April 5 -- Recyclebank has launched a new national contest -- an $18,000 green kitchen makeover as a grand prize - with the goal of inspiring people to live greener lives.

The "Green Your Home" contest will run through the month of April. The kitchen makeover grand prize will be designed by Danny Seo, an environmental celebrity and author. "All of us want to live greener, healthier lives, but it can be overwhelming to figure out how to do so," said Seo. "I am thrilled to work with Recyclebank, as we both believe that making small adjustments in your own lives can make a huge global difference, and they are rewarding people for doing so. The Green Your Home Challenge shows how these changes can be easy and fun."
"By mobilizing a large group of people to make small changes, the collective positive impact on the environment is astounding," said Jonathan Hsu, CEO at Recyclebank. "Partnering with Danny and launching the Green Your Home Challenge is a great way to celebrate Earth Month and the everyday steps people are taking towards living a greener lifestyle."

To take the challenge, people can visit http://greenyourhome.recyclebank.com to start earning points for their everyday green actions. Each week, Recyclebank will "unlock" a room in the house (kitchen, living room, bedroom and baby room, backyard/garage, and bathroom), and a series of tips and challenges related to that room will be revealed. For each challenge completed, participants earn Recyclebank points. Participants´ scores are based on how many actions they complete and how many friends they get to take challenges.
The grand prize winner will receive a home makeover consultation, a full suite of Energy Star-qualified LG kitchen appliances, a one-year supply of Ziploc Brand products and two chairs made entirely of recycled Coca-Cola bottles, along with other prizes.
